  • AB 1043BillDigital Age Assurance Act. Device-level age-bracket signals without ID uploads or biometrics. Signed October 13, 2025; effective January 1, 2027.
  • SB 976BillProtecting Our Kids from Social Media Addiction Act. Addictive-feed and overnight-notification restrictions for minors. Upheld by the Ninth Circuit September 2025; AG regulations due January 1, 2027.
  • AB 2273In courtAge-Appropriate Design Code. Five of six challenged provisions remain enjoined as of March 2026. Largely unenforceable.
